Conus (Osceolaconus) matchetti
(Petuch & Drolshagen, 2011)
Note the completely smooth
and deeply canaliculate spire whorls of the genus Osceolaconus. This group
of left-handed cones lacks the beaded and knobbed spires and beaded early
whorls that are so conspicuous on their sister group, Contraconus.
